Christian Beliefs of Marriage and Divorce

We believe that marriage is a binding covenant between a man and a woman and that God intended that covenant to be a life-long commitment.

Genesis 2:24

We believe in the Triune God, God the Father; God the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit related in Jesus’ words “When the counselor comes, when I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.”

John 15:26-27

We believe in the doctrine of fallen man and that both husband and wife fall into the category of "fallen" man. (Romans 3:23) We believe that divorce is permissible due to the betrayal of a spouse engaged in adultery (Matthew 19:9;) or that the non-believer turns away from the marriage vows and divorces his/her spouse (1 Corinthians 7:15-16). We also believe that revengeful adultery is not accepted as a Christian response

(Mark 10:11-12)

We believe that God hates divorce because of the heartache and the chaos it brings to the family at large. We do not believe God hates divorce which would compel a spouse to stay in an abusive marriage or a marriage that has been abandoned or betrayed. The scripture encourages those to repent and go back to faith and to the marriage bed.

Malachi 2: 10-16

We are a group of believers in Christ understanding and living by the True Word of God, the Holy Bible. (2 Timothy 4:16-17) We do not assume any one denomination, but only by belief that one chooses to come into a relationship with Jesus Christ through His Grace and the bloodshed of the Jesus Christ. (Galatians 2:20) We encourage participants of our ministry to

become true servants of God through their faith commitment and their involvement in this ministry. However, this is not a pre-requisite to be a recipient of this ministry. All are welcome.

We believe that God is in control of all things good and bad

Romans 8:28
